Here is just a quick history lesson on Easter… I found Very interesting My Darling.
Easter is named for a Saxon goddess who was known by the names of Oestre or Eastre, and in Germany by the name of Ostara. She is a goddess of the dawn and the spring, and her name derives from words for dawn, the shining light arising from the east. Our words for the “female hormone” estrogen derives from her name.
Basically what that all boils down to is that the past belief was that people would lay eggs out at night and Eastre would fertilize them in the night. The women would go to hunt them in the morning so that they would be blessed with fertility when they found the fertilized eggs… Maybe something to think of Sunday is you watch an Easter egg hunt…
I sometimes wish My name meant more … but to you it should Mean….so much more.. I can take you anywhere My subject…. My name is derived from the Greek.. “Helene” .. and if anyone Knows anything about the Trojan War and downfall.. well you know it was because of Paris steeling Helen away… Obviously Her love was that great to bring down the empire… I do not wish to bring your “empire” down.. I think a few walls will suffice My Darling…. hahahaha
However have a happy Easter Holiday and celebrate in your own way… I would love to hear of your own traditions My subject.. Watch for My new file and be my good darling while I am away over the holiday…
